Misty Summer Photography

Misty Summer Photography is owned by me, Tina A Snyder. I named my company after the main character in a series of Kindle books I wrote called Theme Park Mysteries. Here's my Artist Statement.

Tina A Snyder is a photographer who lives and works in Orlando, FL. She works in this medium because it is through photography that she can express herself and show her vision of the world.  She is inspired by the photographers Annie Leibovitz and Imogen Cunningham because they show things as they see them. Their images are truly created by them.  Tina is also inspired by the writer Agatha Christie because Agatha wrote for a living when many women did not work. Her books still sell and are made into movies nearly 100 years later. She is also inspired by the beauty of Florida because she is surrounded by one of the most beautiful states in the country. It is always summer there. She has a desire to share that feeling of summer with the world.

     The main subject of Tina's work is Florida. This is important to her because she wants the world to see her love of Florida, its landscapes, its sunsets, its wildlife, and its plants and trees. Her art-making process consists of going outdoors and looking for a subject that catches her eye then making it look the best she can. She tries to create the best image possible in the camera. This is important to understanding her work because she often photographs things that are not pretty but have a beauty to them. Also, she likes to photograph everything and anything. If it interests her, it becomes a subject. .
